Let's Get Homecoming Right This Time!
Veterans and Families is a 501(c) 3 non-profit community service and support organization, founded and directed by Veterans, parents, grandparents, family members, employers, mental health professionals, academics, philanthropists and community leaders.
From our research and interactions with thousands of Veterans and their family members over the years, we can make one statement with complete certainty:
Unless our returning Veterans can learn ways to decompress from war and deployment and lower their extreme symptoms of combat-related stress, the anxiety, depression and self-absorbed isolation they experience can last a lifetime.
Consequently, both Veterans and their families will continue to suffer greatly and far too many will fall between the cracks of our society or will not survive the trials of homecoming.
Our Mission:
- To help our Veterans get home both mentally and emotionally.
- To help Veterans and their families raise happy, healthy children in a safe and stable environment where both parents are supportive and emotionally available.
- To assist our homecoming Veterans and their families in successfully transitioning home from deployment and from military to civilian life.
- To keep families together through the trials of homecoming.
- To work in tandem with all government and civilian resources and agencies.
Veterans and Families is a non-partisan, non-political organization.
"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive how the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their Nation"
George Washington November 10, 1781
